1. Using this website
These Terms of Use explain the basis on which BioSpaceHome makes its articles and website available at biospacehome.com. Please read them alongside the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please stop using the site. Nothing here limits a right that applicable law says cannot be limited.
The website is an editorial publication. Reading it does not create a paid service arrangement, professional-client relationship or commitment to provide individual assistance.
2. Educational information and its limits
Articles discuss everyday household choices, food use, water and energy, repair and indoor growing. They provide general information, not an assessment of your home or personalized medical, engineering, electrical or other professional advice. Follow product labels, local requirements and manufacturers’ current instructions. Seek qualified help where a task involves risks beyond your experience.
A result described in an example may depend on materials, measurements, handling and local conditions. Do not assume that a suggested change is suitable for every household.
3. Accuracy, examples and updates
We aim to make the guides useful and to link sources for factual claims. An article may contain an error, omit a relevant circumstance or become outdated. Check important details with the primary source before relying on them.
The journal uses consistent editorial pen names for its subject areas. First-person passages express an editorial view or suggested approach. Scenarios are illustrations unless a public case is identified, and credited photographs are not evidence of a personal test. Our Editorial standards explain this approach.
Please send a correction with the article URL, the relevant passage and a reliable source. A correction request does not guarantee a particular revision or response time.
4. Copyright, sharing and image licenses
Article text, design and original materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Rights in licensed photographs, fonts and other third-party assets remain with their owners.
You may read the articles, save or print a copy for personal use and share links. Brief quotations should identify the publication and link to the original, subject to applicable law. Except where the law or a specific license permits otherwise, obtain permission before republishing substantial content, distributing complete articles or using the branding in a way that suggests endorsement.
A photo credit does not itself grant a reuse license. Check the source and license listed on the Images & illustrations page before reusing an asset. These terms do not remove lawful quotation, fair-use or other statutory rights.
5. Acceptable use
- Use the site and contact channel lawfully and without harassing other people.
- Do not attempt unauthorized access, disrupt the site, introduce malicious code or bypass access controls.
- Do not impersonate the publication or claim an endorsement that has not been given.
- Do not send another person’s private information without permission or use the inbox for unsolicited bulk messages.
Reasonable measures may be taken to limit abusive traffic or misuse of the contact channel.
6. Messages and suggestions
You retain your rights in the material you send. Sending an enquiry allows us to review it, correspond with you and assess the correction or idea. It does not give us unrestricted rights to publish your private message, name or photographs. Permission would be sought before publishing an identifiable personal contribution unless another lawful basis applies.
Use material you are entitled to share, and keep sensitive account, payment and identity information out of your message. The contact form prepares an email draft; you must complete sending in your email application. A prepared draft is not confirmation that the editors received the message.
7. External websites and advertising
Source links and other external resources are provided for context. We do not control their availability, accuracy, policies or services. Their own terms apply when you use them, and linking to a resource is not a blanket endorsement.
There are no advertising tags or paid affiliate links in the current site. If advertising, sponsorship or affiliate arrangements are added, they will be disclosed where relevant. An advertisement would not turn an educational article into a recommendation for every reader.
8. Availability and responsibility
The website and its content are provided on an “as available” basis. We do not promise uninterrupted access, error-free information or a particular outcome from following a guide. Pages may be corrected, moved or withdrawn.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim implied warranties and are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site or reliance on its content. These limits do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including fraud or other mandatory consumer protections. Your applicable statutory rights remain in place.
9. Changes to these terms
The date above shows when these terms were last updated. Changes will be posted on this page, with additional notice where required. A later version does not retroactively remove rights you already have under applicable law.
10. Questions and permissions
For a correction, reuse request or question about these terms, email content@biospacehome.com or use the Contact page. Include the page URL and a short explanation so the editors can identify the matter.
